SHA-256 Hash

A cryptographic hash function that produces a 256-bit (64-character) hash value. Evidence receipts on this site use SHA-256 hashes to verify the integrity and version of source code snapshots being evaluated — comparing the hash of a fetched source against the recorded hash confirms the content hasn't changed since retrieval.
