Context Window

The maximum amount of text (measured in tokens) that an AI model can process in a single request. Larger context windows allow agents to work with longer documents, maintain longer conversations, and process more complex instructions. However, larger context windows also increase cost and latency. MCP helps optimize context window usage by enabling agents to write code that calls tools directly, bypassing the need to include tool documentation in the context.
